Jesus was on the Jerico road heading to Jerusalem for what would be His last time. A blind beggar, Bartimaeus, called out for Jesus as He was passing by. The crowd told him to be silent, “Jesus doesn’t have time for you, Bartimaeus!” What did Jesus do? He stopped and called the man to Him. Even though the Son of God was heading to the Cross, He stopped for someone crying out to Him. Pastor David Uth, from First Baptist Orlando church, challenges us to quit listening to the crowd. Perhaps it’s time to quit letting what others say and think about us, control us. Call out to Jesus. He’ll stop for you. He’s standing still asking you to come to Him.
